About
About Inkbeat
Inkbeat is made by Vizo Apps, a small independent app studio. This site hosts a free draw music tool that runs in your browser, plus guides on making music by drawing, the music theory behind it, and sharing your songs. The Inkbeat app for Android is our full version.
Who we are
Vizo Apps is an independent studio that builds Android apps and games. You can see the rest of our work at vizoapps.com. Inkbeat started from a simple idea: anyone can draw a line, so anyone should be able to make a melody, without learning to read notes first.
What this site is
The draw music online tool on the home page is free, needs no install and no sign-up. You draw on a grid canvas: left to right is time, higher is a higher note, and every note snaps to a scale so it always sounds in tune. Pick an instrument colour, a mood and a tempo, switch the drum beat on, and press play.
The guides explain how it works and what you can do with it:
- How to make music by drawing
- Music theory drawing: scales, keys and rhythm
- The Inkbeat draw music app for Android
- Turn a drawing into a music video
The app
Draw Music Maker: Inkbeat is free on Google Play for Android, with ads. It adds nine instruments, drum and bass layers, eight moods in all twelve keys, 44 ready-made designs, and export to video, WAV audio and MIDI. It works offline and needs no account.
Independent
We are not affiliated with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Google or any music app. Their names appear here only to describe where songs can be shared or opened.
